Britney Spears auctions off painting

Britney Spears donated one of her paintings to raise money for victims of the Route 91 Harvest Festival massacre.
The 35-year-old singer recently shared an Instagram video of her daubing flowers onto canvas while listening to Mozart and she allowed the artwork to be auctioned off during the Vegas Cares benefit concert at The Venetian hotel in Las Vegas on Sunday (05.11.17), which was staged to raise funds to honour the emergency services and victims of the horrific mass shooting last month.
In a video message during the show, Britney – who has had a concert residency in the city since 2013 – said: "I’m so proud to call Vegas my second home and I’m pleased to participate in this Vegas Cares show.
"The flowers in my painting represent a new beginning, and it’s in that spirit that we move forward. All the proceeds from the winning bid go to Vegas Cares Memorial Fund. I appreciate your kindness and your generosity – I love you Vegas."
Entertainment reporter Robin Leach took charge of the auction during the show – and won the lot himself for $10,000.
Las Vegas Review Journal columnist John Katsilometes shared a picture of Robin looking pleased with his new purchase and wrote: "It’s #RobinLeach, who just auctioned this @britneyspears piece to … himself! Yes! Great $10k moment #VegasCares @venetianvegas (sic)"
Britney’s painting video went viral when she shared it last month.
The ‘Toxic’ singer – who has sons Sean Preston, 12, and Jayden, 11, with ex-husband Kevin Federline – was enjoying her art session outside her house, wearing an oversized shirt open over a bra top and hotpants and captioned the clip: "Sometimes, you just gotta play."
Mozart’s Rondo alla Turca could be heard playing in the background.
