Brian McFadden quashes Westlife reunion rumours

Brian McFadden has quashed Westlife reunion rumours.
The 36-year-old singer has insisted that he is focused on his solo music and so a return to the boy band he quit in 2004 leaving Nicky Byrne, Kian Egan, Mark Feehily and Shane Filan to continue as a foursome until 2012.
During an interview on UK TV show ‘This Morning’, he said: "I’m still writing [solo] music. I’ll be on the road for the next six months so that’s pushed it back."
Fans hopes were raised recently when Gibraltarian songwriter Albert Hammond – who has worked with the likes of Whitney Houston, Tina Turner and Diana Ross – claimed that the band’s manager Louis Walsh had approached him to write for the group.
He said: "I was with Louis in Ireland, and he asked me for some songs because he says, I’m going to bring back Westlife so can you write some songs for me.’"
However, Brian seems to have scuppered those hopes, along with a much speculated joint tour with Westlife and Boyzone.
Brian is just about to set out on a Q&A and music tour with Keith Duffy, from Boyzone, called ‘Boyzlife’, but he insists the tour is strictly about him and Keith and their friendship and should not be read as a precursor to the two bands joining forces.
He said: "I can’t see the two bands doing a tour together. It’s about me and Keith we’ve been friends for a long time."
The Boyzlife tour kicks off on 16 October at London’s Hilton Bankside.
