Boy George: My ‘big sorrow’ was not meeting Michael Jackson

Boy George says one of his "big sorrows" was not meeting Michael Jackson.
The 55-year-old singer has opened up about the time he met Paris Jackson – the daughter of the late King of Pop – during Paris Fashion Week but admits he regrets not having the chance to meet the iconic musician himself before his untimely death in 2009.
Speaking to Andy Cohen on ‘Watch What Happens Live’ on Tuesday (24.01.17), he said: "I told her that she was very beautiful and I told her that her dad was amazing, said that I never met him.
"It was one of my big sorrows that I never got to meet him. She was lovely, she’s such a lovely girl."
The news comes after Paris recently opened up about life with her father, insisting her upbringing was "normal" and recalled how strict the ‘Thriller’ musician was with their schooling and never allowed any bad behaviour.
She said: "We actually had a pretty normal life. Like, we had school every single day, and we had to be good. And if we were good, every other weekend or so, we could choose whether we were gonna go to the movie theatre or see the animals or whatever. But if you were on bad behaviour, then you wouldn’t get to go do all those things."
Meanwhile Michael Jackson’s nephew TJ Jackson – who is the legal guardian of Paris as well as her brothers Prince, 19, and Blanket, 14 – previously praised the ‘Bad’ singer for instilling "core ethics and values" in his children.
He said: "I don’t think there’s anything I had to teach them because my uncle taught them everything they need to know.
"All the important things – their core ethics and values are so strong, and there’s moments where I just hear my uncle’s voice come out of them because [of] their love for people and their innocence."
