Blonde not interested in album

Blonde are in no rush to release their debut album.
The deep house production duo – comprised of Adam Englefield and Jacob Manson – have been releasing singles since 2014, but insist they aren’t too interested in creating a full album, as they’d rather just focus on "putting out bangers".
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, Jacob said: "We were writing an album for quite a long period, but now we’re at a point where it kind of suits us to just keep putting out bangers. We have other music and different kind of flavours than what Blonde represents which we’re both keen to get out at some point, but it will kind of be a case of as and when it makes sense to put out a body of work. At the moment it kind of makes sense to just keep putting out individual singles which we think are good. With our songs we make them and then we usually know they have to go out right now. So with our latest single ‘Me, Myself & I’ we knew we had to get it out at the beginning of the summer. From when we finished it to releasing the song it was about two weeks."
The pair don’t believe that dance music needs to be put into an album as most people will just listen to the singles, and have said the album format is "struggling" across the board, especially in the dance genre.
Adam said: "With dance music, in particular, it’s more about singles really. People want to hear those singles come out. I think the album format is struggling in general, but even more so in dance music. I think that’s one of the reasons why it’s not one of our priorities to make an album."
