Ayda Field has no rules for contestants

Ayda Field won’t ban her ‘X Factor’ finalists from sex and alcohol.
The 39-year-old actress – who has put Danny Tetley, Olatunji Yearwood, Giovanni Spano and Janice Robinson through to the live shows – thinks her over-28s "have their s**t together" and she doesn’t see any reason to impose strict rules on the hopefuls.
Asked if she will issue drink or sex bans, she told MailOnline: "That is hardcore! That’s like penitentiary. Listen, I’d like to think with my overs, that they’ve got their s**t together. Do you know what I mean?
"I think if they were 14 and 15 there might be some more rules. If I find out that one of them is getting sloppy, you know, out partying in the middle of the night, then there will be some issues with that. But I don’t get the sense that any of mine are party animals."
But Ayda – who has children Teddy, five, Charlton, three, and Coco, two months, with husband Robbie Williams – won’t rule out giving her contestants "makeovers" if she feels it would suit their musical "personas".
She said: "There could be makeovers, I always love a makeover,’ she said. ‘But I’m not interested in putting anyone on a diet or trying to put them in that box.
"I think that’s the whole point for me — I don’t want this to be about an image-led situation. A makeover is great because you can put your best foot forward on that persona, because everyone including Rob has a persona. Are you rock and roll? Are you country? Pop? There’s a persona."
And the ‘Loose Women’ panelist plans to call her finalists together for group exercise sessions.
She said: "I think we might have some group workouts. But that’s more like mind, body, get your head straight. I do think a strong mind is a strong body and I think a strong body is a strong mind. I think maybe for headspace we might do you some yoga together.
"I think that is my mantra, that a strong mind is a strong body and a strong body is a strong mind. I think so much of this process is –and the same with my career — you have to fight. You have to fight for your place.
"No one’s handing it to you. I think when you learn to fight, and you learn to get out of your comfort zone on all sorts of levels you prepare yourself.
"For me, being physically fit makes me feel alert, it makes me feel strong, it makes me feel empowered. I think these are all really important."
