Anna Friel confirms Marcella has been postponed

Anna Friel has confirmed ITV have delayed airing ‘Marcella’ until the autumn.
The 43-year-old actress told fans the broadcaster has withheld screening series three of the detective drama until after the summer, amid the coronavirus pandemic.

One fan replied: "No!!!!!! I have been waiting forever!! My favorite show!! (sic)"
But some were grateful for an update and wished the actress and crew well during this unprecedented time.
One wrote: "Fantastic, looking forward to it already. Always good to have something for the darker months (sic)"

ITV previously confirmed Amanda Burton has joined the cast of ‘Marcella’.
The ‘Silent Witness’ actress will appear alongside fellow newcomer Aaron McCusker – who played Freddie Mercury’s partner Jim Hutton in ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ – in the upcoming series as the crime family matriarch Katherine, with former ‘Shameless’ actor Aaron playing her son Finn.Hugo Speer will reprise his role as Frank Young after a brief appearance at the end of the previous season.
As well as new faces – including the likes of Kelly Gough, Eugene O’Hare, Paul Kennedy, Martin McCann and Michael Colgan – Ray Ranthaki will be back for the new eight-part run as Rav Sangha.
