Amanda Holden would ‘love’ to replace Holly Willoughby on Celebrity Juice

Amanda Holden would "love" to replace Holly Willoughby on ‘Celebrity Juice’ – but she thinks it "takes too long" to film.
The 49-year-old star has admitted she’d relish the opportunity to star on Keith Lemon’s comedy show, although she fears it may be too time-consuming.
Amanda told HuffPost: "I would love it, but it is hard work because they film for blinking hours.
"I remember when I filled in for Holly, I was like, ‘Yeah! I’ll come and do that.’
"But obviously I do ‘Heart Breakfast’, which I get up for at 5.30am, they film it over in Elstree and I’m not joking, it takes about four hours and they don’t finish until really late. So I would say yes, I’d love to, but it takes too long!"
Amanda also suggested it wouldn’t be as funny watching her alongside Keith – whose real name is Leigh Francis – because viewers already know she’s "up for anything".
She explained: "I know Holly is not goodie-goodie by any means, but that’s what she plays, and I always think it’s better to watch someone who is straighter doing things out of their comfort zone.
"Everyone knows I’m up for anything, so it’s not as funny."
Meanwhile, Keith has admitted there is currently "no one" under consideration to replace Holly.
He said: "I was quite humoured by news of the bookies saying who is up for it. No-one is yet. I’ve not had any meetings about it yet."
The 47-year-old star was shocked by Holly’s announcement, adding that it’s always hard whenever anybody leaves.
The presenter compared Holly’s departure to Fearne Cotton’s decision to quit ‘Celebrity Juice’ in 2018.
He said: "I was gutted when Fearne left. If anyone leaves who you like a lot, love a lot, you’re upset aren’t you? But we are all adults aren’t we?"
