Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje cast in Suicide Squad

Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje has been cast as Killer Croc in ‘Suicide Squad’.

The 47-year-old actor, who starred as Mr. Eko on ‘Lost’, is to appear in the role of the DC Comics villain who is depicted in the comic books as one of Batman’s biggest foes, TheWrap reports.

The casting sees Adewale make the move from Marvel – where he appeared in ‘Thor: The Dark World’ – to DC Comics for the much-anticipated David Ayer-directed movie, which also stars Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jared Leto and Cara Delevingne.

His casting comes shortly after Scott Eastwood confirmed that he’d play a role in ‘Suicide Squad’, which is set for release in 2016.

It’s been speculated Scott will appear in the role of Wonder Woman’s love interest, although he has refused to reveal his character’s name.

Asked about his future plans, Scott said: "I’m doing a movie called Suicide Squad."

Meanwhile, Will Smith has also promised to stay tight-lipped about the film until its release, joking he’d have to "kill" anyone who knew too much.

Speaking in February, Will was asked if he could talk about the film, to which he replied: "No sir, I’d have to kill you. It’s top secret but it’s really good, though. It’s great stuff, fantastic. I’m already in shape for it, I’m already training."
