Alison Hammond plays ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ matchmaker

Alison Hammond wants to set Simon Webbe and Kristina Rihanoff up on a date.

The 39-year-old television personality has revealed that she’s happy to play cupid whilst competing on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ and she even has her sights set on fellow competitor Simon and professional dancer Kristina.

Chatting on ‘This Morning’ today (23.10.14), Alison shared: "Well, there are two single people – Simon Webbe and Kristina Rihanoff – and I wish there was a bit of romance between them two, but I don’t think there is … but wouldn’t they be a great couple together?

"I’d love that to happen. I’m going to make that happen!"

One part of the process that the former ‘Big Brother’ star isn’t loving are the uncomfortable dance shoes that she’s forced to wear during rehearsals and the weekend live shows.

She said: "Literally walking around now, my feet are killing because the dance shoes are so thin, but I didn’t realise and I spoke to Lisa Riley yesterday and she said, ‘Ask for bigger soles.’ So I’m going to make them a little bit bigger. And a bit more cushion!"

Although foot ache might not matter much if Alison survives this weekend, after she revealed that her Halloween routine will include flying.

She said: "I’d love to stay in for Halloween because apparently I might fly! I don’t know if I was supposed to say that but if I’m in, I could fly … oh no, I’m going to be in a lot of trouble!"
