Shania Twain and Josh Homme have released the bluesgrass duet Faded Blue Jeans.
The five‑time GRAMMY winner has unleashed her gritty new collaboration with the Queens of the Stone Age frontman – the final preview before her seventh studio album Little Miss Twain lands later this month.
The track, written solely by Shania, dives straight into the “rebellious rock‑and‑blues spirit” that shaped her youth. Inspired by one of her own teenage romances, the song is about the rush of young love and the belief that it could survive anything.
Fans can pre‑order a limited‑edition Faded Blue Jeans picture disc from her official store.
Shania has described Little Miss Twain as her most soul‑searching record yet, digging deep into the years before superstardom.
She explained: “A lot of Little Miss Twain is reflective of my teens, my roots as well as the energy of the rock and R’n’B I loved so much, but still with that Western twang. Where I’m from, you don’t go anywhere on a horse – you go on a snowmobile. I was dreaming about the Western lifestyle and I was living in a very different world than where I ended up.”
The album follows 2023’s Queen of Me.
Recently, Shania joined Harry Styles for a record-breaking 12‑night takeover of Wembley Stadium.
Meanwhile, Sony Pictures is developing Shania, a biopic directed by Leah McKendrick, with the artist onboard as a producer.
McKendrick said she was “honoured” to take on the project, sharing: “Long before I was making movies, I was shooting Shania music videos in my bedroom… I am honored. I am humbled. I am READY. Let’s go, girls.”
Little Miss Twain is out on July 24. Stream Faded Blue Jeans now on all major platforms.
