Rudimental, Groove Armada and more set for Kaleidoscope Festival

Rudimental, Groove Armada and Black Grape are among the artists performing at this year’s Kaleidoscope Festival.

The beloved family day out returns to London’s Alexandra Palace for the sixth year on 11 July, bringing a star-studded line-up of music, comedy, culture and family entertainment across the grounds of the iconic venue and inside the building itself.

Headlining the Hilltop Stage on the South Slope will be Rudimental but before they take to the stage, there will be a live performance from UK garage legend MJ Cole and Shaun Ryder’s Black Grape will be celebrating 30 years of their album It’s Great When You’re Straight… Yeah. In addition, Dale Davis will lead The Amy Winehouse band in performing songs from the late Rehab singer’s back catalogue, and the Some Voices Choir will have the crowd singing.

Former Kaleidoscope headliners Groove Armada will be spinning a DJ set on the Cloud Stage, with Roni Size, DJ Paulette and Wookie completing the bill in the area.

Stand-up favourite Russell Kane tops the bill on the Fringe Stage which, as well as sets from fellow comics Olga Koch, Emmanuel Sonubi and Bella Hull, will also be home to Bez’s Acid House Experience, Hip Hop Karaoke and Disco Yoga.

The dedicated family area boasts interactive workshops, pop-up arts and performances, including Silly Science, Family Disco Yoga, Circus Sensible, African Acrobatic Circus, Punch and Judy Shows, an Interactive Mural Wall, and the astonishing World’s Tallest Bubbleologist.

Festivalgoers will get the chance to explore rarely-seen areas of Alexandra Palace, with the venue throwing open its doors to the atmospheric Victorian basements for a range of immersive experience.

Simon Fell, festival Director, said: “Kaleidoscope Festival has been running since 2018 and has become a real staple of London’s summer. This year’s line-up is a celebration of the golden age of garage, house and drum’n’bass – the sound of London – alongside comedy, culture and family experiences.

“It’s a festival like no other; a place for the curious, for music lovers, for families, where you can explore our park, take in panoramic views of the capital, and even discover parts of Alexandra Palace you wouldn’t normally see.”
