Morrissey cancels two 2026 shows

Morrissey has cancelled two of his Nude Tour shows in California.

The former Smiths frontman was due to perform on Saturday (03.01.26) at Agua Caliente Casino Rancho Mirage, but the gig was postponed due to “an adverse reaction to a prescription medication”.

A statement on the Etix page of the casino’s official website reads: “Due to an adverse reaction to a prescription medication, the Morrissey concert originally scheduled on Saturday January 3, 2026 has been postponed.

“Please hold onto your tickets as they will be honored for a rescheduled date.

“Should you wish to request a refund, please contact your original point of purchase.

“Requests for refunds must be received before February 2, 2026 at 5:00pm PST. (sic)”

Morrissey’s next planned show was due to take place in San Diego on Tuesday (06.01.26), but that has also been axed.

He was set to take to the stage at the San Diego Civic Theatre, but the venue shared a message on Instagram that read: “Please note the Morrissey event scheduled for January 6 at the San Diego Civic Theatre has been canceled.

“Refunds are available via point of purchase. (sic)”

No further reason was given for the show’s axing.

At the time of writing, Morrissey hasn’t commented on the cancellations on his official website, or his Instagram account.

He is due to perform at San Antonio’s Boeing Center at Tech Port on January 10th, before heading to Oklahoma City on January 13th and St. Louis for a January 15th show.

Afterwards, Morrissey has three more Nude Tour shows scheduled for this month.

He is due to play in Atlanta on January 17th, before two sold out Florida gigs in St. Petersburg and Hollywood.

In November, Morrissey axed his South American Nude Tour gigs as he continued to contend with “extreme exhaustion”.

He was due to play a series of dates in Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Santiago, Lima, and Bogota from November 8 to November 22, but the venues informed ticketholders of his decision to pull the shows

Days earlier, Morrissey cancelled two concerts in Mexico, citing the same reason.
