Pulp announce ‘only major UK headline show’ of the year for 2026

Pulp have announced their “only major UK headline concert” of 2026.

The Common People legends are set to perform a “special show” at Wythenshawe Park in Manchester next summer, with Self Esteem already confirmed as the main support act.

In a post on Instagram, the band said: “Pulp will play a special show at Manchester Wythenshawe Park on Friday 28 August 2026.

“This is likely to be our only major UK headline concert this year.

“Special guest is Self Esteem, with further acts to be announced.”

Anyone who signs up to the group’s newsletter by the end of Tuesday (18.11.25) will get an exclusive link to a pre-sale, which starts at 10am GMT on Wednesday (19.11.25).

Two days later, the tickets will go on general sale via Ticketmaster.

It’s been a busy time for Pulp, who released More – their first album in 24 years – back in June, topping the charts and earning the band a Mercury Prize nomination.

Asked over the summer if the group are considering another LP, frontman Jarvis Cocker was coy about the idea.

He told NME: “Maybe. We tried to not have a concept for this record or think, ‘This is it, this is our last gas’…

“Hopefully not in another 24 years, but maybe in a couple of years, there will be something else to say.”

Last month, keyboardist Candida told the same outlet that the group might consider “an EP, maybe, or a single” instead of a new album.

Drummer Nick Banks recently insisted the group were focusing on touring plans in 2026.

He told Uncut: “We are playing some concerts in 2026, so the first half of next year is mapped out but that’s about it.

“Looking too far ahead probably Isn’t good for your mental health.”

But Jarvis added: “We have a few months off at the start of the year and I am going to think about it then.

“Everybody’s enjoyed it as far as I can tell, so we might write some more songs, who knows?”
