Tate McRae announces deluxe edition of So Close to What with ‘a few more songs’

Tate McRae has surprised fans by announcing the deluxe edition of her album So Close to What.

Boasting several new tracks, the titles of which have yet to be unveiled, the expanded version will be available on November 21.

The Greedy hitmaker shared on Instagram: “We had a few more songs that I wanted to share with y’all to close out the ‘SC2W’ era. I can’t wait for you to hear.”

It will be available on digital platforms, including Apple Music and Spotify, as well as a physical CD and vinyl, available here.

Tate recently released the single Tit for Tat.

She also received her first Grammy nomination, Best Dance Pop Recording, for Just Keep Watching from the F1 Album soundtrack.

However, her third studio album was not nominated.

Meanwhile, Zara Larsson recently admitted she found it “strange” seeing people pitting her against Tate.

The 27-year-old Swedish pop star was the support act on the North American leg of her Miss Possessive Tour, and she reflected on the positive and negative reactions to their shows together.

She penned on Instagram alongside a series of snaps from the shows: “It’s a wrap on Miss Possessive tour! @tatemcrae thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing your stage with me and my girls every night. I can’t explain how much I’ve appreciated the opportunity to give the people a little taste of a Zara set. I’m speechless at the amount of praise I’ve been getting over these past few weeks from your wonderful fans and online. With that being said, it’s been strange seeing some people putting us against each other when we’re just two pop girls who love and support each other back stage! (sic)”

Zara gushed over Tate, 22, and her entire touring crew and insisted she will “always have [her] back”.

She continued: “Not only are you insanely talented, something we all can tell from seeing you on stage every night, but you have an incredible team around you. The dancers, band, crew, team, drivers, and tech have been a joy to be around and I always feel like that says a lot about how a person works. You set the bar. You set the standard. You are a super star. Just know, I will always have your back! Thank you for this experience!!! (sic)”
