Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs’ temporary Oasis Live ’25 Tour stand-in revealed

Liam Gallagher’s solo guitarist, Mike Moore, is to step in for Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs as he sits out part of the Oasis Live ’25 Tour to undergo prostate cancer treatment.

The 60-year-old rhythm guitarist is hoping to return in time for the South American shows, after being forced to skip dates in Seoul, Tokyo, Melbourne and Sydney on the Britpop legends first jaunt in 16 years.

Ahead of the Supersonic band’s concert at Goyang Stadium in Seoul, South Korea, Mike was spotted at Incheon International Airport.

A source told The Mirror: “Mike Moore has been playing for Liam since 2017 and so he knows plenty of the Oasis tunes from the solo gigs.

“It’s not a full time slot in the band and everyone wants Bonehead well and back but it’s a huge privilege for Mike and he’s excited to get on the stage.”

Oasis’ live lineup also includes Liam’s keyboardist Christopher Madden.

In a statement posted on social media, Bonehead explained: “Early this year I was diagnosed with prostate cancer.

“The good news is I’m responding really well to treatment, which meant I could be part of this incredible tour.

“Now, I am having to take a planned break for the next phase of my care, so I’ll be missing the gigs in Seoul, Tokyo, Melbourne and Sydney.

“I’m really sad to be missing these shows but I’m feeling good and will be back ready to go in time for South America.

“Have an amazing time if you’re going this month and I’ll see you back onstage with the band in November.”

The rocker is due to return to the stage with the Wonderwall band in Buenos Aires on November 15, as Oasis bring the tour to a close with five concerts in South America.

The Britpop legends shared Bonehead’s statement on X and added: “Wishing you all the best with your treatment Bonehead – we’ll see you back on stage in South America.”

Bonehead received well wishes from Noel Gallagher’s daughter Anais, who commented: “We love you so much bonehead!”

Meanwhile, Liam’s daughter Molly Moorish wrote: “Sending love!”

Bonehead was previously diagnosed with tonsil cancer in 2022 but revealed later that year that he had been given the “all clear” by doctors.

He wrote on Instagram at the time: “Update on my cancer, I had a full scan 10 days ago, and it’s all clear, it’s gone. Thank you so much all of you for the messages I’ve had throughout, you’ve helped me more than you know. Thank you especially to the team @TheChristieNHS, into recovery now and see you all soon x (sic)”

Bonehead was with Oasis from their formation in 1991 before leaving in 1999 as he wanted to spend more time with his family.

However, he continued working with Liam over the years, including in his band Beady Eye and on other solo projects.
