Lola Young releases new album I’m Only F****** Myself

Lola Young has released her third studio album, I’m Only F****** Myself.

The potty-mouthed pop star has unleashed her most daring collection to date. Laden with tongue-in-cheek innuendos, she dives deep into topics ranging from heartbreak and loneliness to sex and mental health.

The follow-up to 2024’s This Wasn’t Meant for You Anyway includes the most recent single, Post Sex Clarity.

The prolific star created the album in the first half of 2025 with long-term collaborators Manuka and SOLOMONOPHONIC (Brockhampton, SZA) and recorded at the legendary Electric Lady Studios in New York and Rue Boyer Studios in Paris.

The track d£aler, about addiction, was hailed “the biggest smash I have heard in years” by none other than Sir Elton John.

A press release noted that the album “explores themes of self-sabotage, using vices like sex and drugs as a form of escapism, which can quickly turn into nihilism.”

Next month, Lola will embark on her biggest UK headline run to date, including two nights at Manchester’s O2 Victoria Warehouse, the O2 Academy in Birmingham, and two nights at London’s O2 Academy Brixton.

The sold-out tour will be followed by shows across North America and Europe.

To celebrate the release of I’m Only F****** Myself, Lola has released a limited-edition capsule collection by her luxury streetwear brand Aries.

I’m Only F****** Myself follows 2024’s Top 20 LP This Wasn’t Meant for You Anyway.

The 24-year-old star has been racking up awards and was honoured with the ASCAP Vanguard Award in recognition of her growing list of achievements this summer.

The ASCAP accolade followed Lola receiving the Rising Star Award at this year’s Ivor Novellos.

Meanwhile, the Messy hitmaker recently admitted she was surprised by the viral success of her 2024 hit.

Lola told Variety: “I don’t think anybody realised it. It wasn’t like, ‘Oh, this is the hit’.

“My label claims they knew, but I don’t think anyone can ever know what’s going to work – and that’s no shade.

“We had a clear vision of what the sound was and what the singles were and what was going to be prioritised.”
