Not Going Out’s Lee Mack is staying in after feeling unwell

‘Not Going Out’ star Lee Mack is staying in after feeling unwell for 10 days.
The comedian is self-isolating alongside his family – including wife Tara McKillop and their children Millie, Arlo and Louie – during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, but his representative clarified he hasn’t been tested for the respiratory illness.
In a statement, Lee’s spokesperson said: "Lee has not been tested for this virus but has been feeling unwell for 10 days now and he and his family have been completely self-isolating.
"He said the worst symptom so far is the avalanche of jokes about him ‘Not Going Out’.
"He laughed on day one but now it’s day 10 it’s becoming a struggle."
In the UK, people with COVID-19 symptoms must self-isolate for seven days, while families and housemates – even if they are well – must isolated for 14 days.
Last year, it was revealed Lee would star in new BBC Two sitcom ‘Semi-Detached’, which will follow the life of a failed wedding DJ whose life in suburbia spirals.
Lee plays main character Stuart, who sees his hopes of a quiet life crushed by his chaotic family, including his much younger partner April (Ellie White) and their newborn baby, his law-breaking brother Charlie (Neil Fitzmaurice) and his drug-taking father Willie (Clive Russell).
To make matters worse, the DJ lives across the cul-de-sac from ex-wife Kate (Samantha Spiro), their teenage daughter Madonna (Sarah Hoare) and Kate’s know-it-all husband Ted (Patrick Baladi).
Each episode takes place in real-time, allowing viewers to watch a half-hour window of Stuart’s life.
The comedy – written by David Crow and Oliver Maltman, and produced by Happy Tramp North – aired a pilot episode early in 2019, and is now set to return for a six-part series.
