Michelle McManus welcomes her first child

Michelle McManus has given birth to her first child.
The 39-year-old singer welcomed a baby boy into the world last month with her husband Jeff Nimmo, but she only revealed the news on Instagram on Wednesday (05.02.20).
She shared a snap of the newborn, complete with the caption: "Last month we welcomed our beautiful son Harry John Nimmo into the world.
"Never could I have imagined this feeling of utter joy and overwhelming love for my little boy. My heart is literally bursting with happiness We love you so much Harry. (sic)"
The ‘Pop Idol’ winner only revealed in December that she was expecting after sharing the news alongside a photo with her husband.
Michelle wrote: "On the 10th day of Christmas,‬ ‪my true love gave to me:
"‪Our very own little baby ‪Baby Nimmo due early 2020."
Fans quickly responded to the expecting parents, which left them feeling "overwhelmed" with love and support.
One fan said: "Lovely news!!! Congratulations (sic)"
Another wrote: "Michelle I’m so happy for you’d both".
She took to Instagram again to thank them for the loving messages.
Michelle wrote: "We’ve been really overwhelmed by all the love and well wishes sent our way regarding our happy news. Thanks so very much to you all (sic)"
The news comes shortly after Michelle dubbed 2019 as a "year I’ll never forget".
In a post welcoming in the new year, she listed her achievements over the past 12 months and her excitement at falling pregnant.
She wrote: "2019 will go down as a year I’ll never ever forget … Jeff and I bought our dream house in May and to top it all off we found out that there was a tiny wee person on the way to make us a family of 3.
"So thank you 2019 and here’s to a wonderful 2020 for us all. Happy New Year (sic)"
