Amy Winehouse album Back To Black set for 20th anniversary deluxe reissue with unheard demos and rare live recordings

Amy Winehouse’s landmark album Back To Black is getting a 20th anniversary reissue on October 27.

The new special editions will spotlight previously unheard demos, rare B‑sides and a full 2007 performance from Paradiso in Amsterdam, captured during the Back To Black tour.

The project also digs deeper into Amy’s visual legacy. Fans will be able to see previously unseen photos from Mischa Richter and Alex Lake, the photographers behind the album’s iconic imagery. Producers Mark Ronson and Salaam Remi have also offered up reflections on Amy’s artistry, her impact, and the sessions that shaped the era‑defining record.

The rollout features multiple vinyl options, among them a clear 3LP package and several one‑LP limited editions like the Chalkboard Marble pressing. A special Zoetrope version -sold only through the official store – creates a moving visual of the Rehab hitmaker when placed on a turntable.

Pre-orders are available now via store.amywinehouse.com.

The reissue arrives as Amy’s name returns to headlines for another reason. Her father, Mitch Winehouse, was recently ordered to pay close to £1 million to two of Amy’s longtime friends after a High Court judge ruled that he had pursued an unfounded legal claim against them. Mitch, who has overseen Amy’s estate since her death at age 27 on July 23, 2011, accused Naomi Parry and Catriona Gourlay of profiting from the sale of items linked to the late singer.

Court documents show he alleged the pair sent personal belongings of Amy to auction “in their own names and on their own behalf.” But Judge Sarah Clarke KC ruled on July 29, 2026, that Mitch “knew all along” about the planned sale and had brought a “weak claim” that caused significant reputational and financial harm to the women.

The judge said Mitch had “deliberately turned this case into large‑scale and expensive litigation” and acted in a way designed to pressure the defendants into settling. He qwas ordered to cover their legal costs on an indemnity basis.
