Christopher Biggins advised Kate Garraway against I’m A Celebrity

Christopher Biggins advised Kate Garraway not to do ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’.
The 70-year-old actor won the seventh series of the ITV reality show in 2007, and while he told the ‘Good Morning Britain’ co-host not to head to the Australian jungle, he believes she will do "very well" on the programme.
He said: "She came to me for some advice the last time I was on the programme [‘Good Morning Britain’].
"We discussed it and I rang her and we talked about it.
"I said, ‘Don’t do it.’ She was tempted, I think.
"But I think she’ll do very, very well."
While Biggins admits he has "no idea" who half of this year’s contestants are, he has tipped Caitlyn Jenner to be a success on the show.
He said: "It’s an interesting line-up. Half the people I have no idea who they are, but that is the same with all these shows nowadays.
"But I do think Caitlyn Jenner is a very good booking. I think she’ll be terrific and really will put the cat among the pigeons."
And the jungle veteran would love to see former ‘This Morning’ presenter Richard Madeley appear on this series as a late entrant.
Speaking on ‘GMB’, he added: "I hope James Haskell’s father-in-law will go in. Richard Madeley, can you imagine that?
"I think he’s up for anything is Richard.
"I think it would be very good if he went in late."
Andrew Whyment is expected to join the show after the series has got underway on Sunday (17.11.19), and he will be joined by another famous face.
The pair will join the likes of former footballer Ian Wright, singer Nadine Coyle, and Rak-Su star Myles Stephenson in the jungle.
Radio 1 DJ Adele Roberts, comedian Andrew Maxwell, ex-‘EastEnders’ actress Jacqueline Jossa, Capital Radio DJ Roman Kemp, and former England rugby player James Haskell, are also heading Down Under.
