Anton du Beke reveals Emma Barton’s Strictly scheduling challenge

Anton du Beke says Emma Barton’s hectic schedule has made training for ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ "challenging".
Emma has been juggling her training for the show with her role as Honey Mitchell on ‘EastEnders’ and although it is difficult, her professional partner Anton believes she is doing "incredibly well," even though her schedule has disrupted their preparation for this weekend’s show.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’ on Thursday (17.10.19), Anton said: "She’s doing incredibly well. She is constantly working on ‘EastEnders’.
"She’s doing two massive jobs. Emma was filming Monday and Tuesday so we only got into the studio.
"I’m going to see her this afternoon and we’ll work until late. She hasn’t had a lot of time but she’s such a pro."
Emma, 42, previously said that she would juggle her ‘EastEnders’ commitments with ‘Strictly’.
She explained: "I am going to have to juggle filming ‘EastEnders’ as well as ‘Strictly’ at the moment. I’ll manage both as I’m a hard worker. Honey’s not going anywhere; she’s just swapping the tabard for a bit of sparkle for now."
Anton, 53, has never won the Glitterball trophy and has been previously partnered with the likes of Ann Widdecombe and Nancy Dell’Ollio in the past and said he is thrilled with his latest partner.
He said: "It’s a different story for me. I can put away the humorous side and do something else which is lovely for me as a choreographer."
