Michelle Visage wants to lose 30 years of toxins

Michelle Visage hopes ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ can help her get rid of "30 years of toxins".
The ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ star wants intense training sessions with her professional partner Giovanni Pernice to help her "sweat out" impurities in her body after recently having her breast implants removed when she discovered she was suffering from Hashimoto’s disease, a condition which leads to the thyroid being attacked.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I was sick for years and didn’t know it. I feel so much better now.
"Toxins will be leaving my body that have been in there for 30 years and the more I sweat, the more I get it out."
The 50-year-old star previously admitted she thinks her role on the panel of the ‘Drag Race’ means she will be well placed to handle any criticism from the likes of ‘Strictly’ judges Craig Revel Horwood and newcomer Motsi Mabuse because she knows to respect their comments and apply it in her own way.
She said: "I wouldn’t do it for any other show, but ‘Strictly’ is something I have been wanting to do for quite some time now so this is a dream come true.
"I will take my critiques and use them because I know what it’s like to sit on the other side of the judges panel.
"When I give advice and critique to the queens, it is for them to take and work on, so I am going to take my own advice and any critiques will be put to good use."
Michelle admitted her pro partner will need "patience" and a sense of humour to get through the long days together.
Speaking before she was paired with Giovanni, she added: "I am a grafter. I would love someone who is creative at choreography, who has patience for all of my endless chatter, and obviously we need to have a laugh to get through the eight hour rehearsals."
