Paul McCartney has ‘fun’ breaking the rules of songwriting

Sir Paul McCartney says he’s still writing songs with the same rule‑dodging, wide‑eyed mischief he had as a teenager.

Liam Gallagher needs bigger house to home parkas

Liam Gallagher is thinking of moving house – because he owns too many parkas to fit in his current property.
The 46-year-old singer and his girlfriend Debbie Gwyther recently bought a new home but are already thinking of selling up in order to find somewhere with more wardrobe space to store his vast collection of jackets, which have become his signature look.
He said: "I’ve hundreds of the f***ers. I’ve got so many parkas I can’t hang them all up and I’d rather throw the house than the parkas."
The Pretty Green founder has always been confident in his fashion choices but he does regret his sartorial choice of wearing a t-shirt with cut-off sleeves in the early 2000s because he thinks it made him look like fellow rocker Jon Bon Jovi.
Asked his worst fashion mistake, he said: "The cut-off sleeves. It wasn’t a stage! Just the once and I wouldn’t normally comment on it, but that’s the one. The cut-off sleeves and the scarf.
"I don’t know what I was going for, but it looked a bit Bon Jovi and that wasn’t it. I’d probably lifted one weight and thought, ‘Yeah, you look cool.’ "
Liam is delighted to learn that Kendrick Lamar is an Oasis fan and has been spotted several times on stage wearing t-shirts emblazoned with the logo of his former band.
Speaking to Q magazine, he said: "What a f***ing dude. I don’t know much about him, but fair play.
"He wears more Oasis T-shirts than one? Well, he’s got more than I have then. I always thought Marilyn Manson was the most surprising Oasis fan."
And after recently comparing his brother Noel Gallagher’s new single, ‘Black Star Dancing’, to 70s singer Leo Sayer, Liam joked he’s planning his own fashion tribute.
The ‘Shockwave’ hitmaker said: "I might bust out my cut-off Leo Sayer T-shirt for Glastonbury."
