Lorraine Kelly announces return to Lorraine

Lorraine Kelly will resume her duties on ‘Lorraine’ on Monday (03.08.18).
The 58-year-old presenter is back to work after her summer break after leaving her ITV early morning show in the safe hands of Christine Lampard and Rochelle Humes, and she is returning with a brand new title sequence with an Autumn feel.
Speaking on her return, Lorraine said: "I’m so looking forward to being back. A massive thank you to Christine and Rochelle who have been amazing. I’ve missed my top team on screen and behind the camera – and all the fun, the laughs and the shared experiences we are so lucky to enjoy.
"Most of all I’ve missed my amazing, loyal audience who are just incredible and make every single day special."
During her summer hiatus Lorraine was busy receiving an honorary doctorate at Edinburgh University.
Appearing previously on her hit show via a video link – as host Christine stood in – she said: "It’s so exciting. You know what, two years ago I was in this very hall, in Usher Hall, and I was watching my Rosie graduate, which was amazing – and they’ve given me an honorary degree.
"So I’m going to get an honorary degree today, and I’m going to be with all the students, and their proud parents and their families. It’s just going to be fantastic."
There are also some new features on the programme, including a segment by Carol Vorderman, ‘Carol’s My Single Life’, discussing what it’s like to date in her 50s.
Also joining ITV’s ‘Lorraine’ is Peter Andre and his wife Emily who are fronting a new feature from September 7, which explores his favourite Cypriot Food for a four-part cooking series called ‘Peter & Emily’s Cyprus Kitchen’.
Editor Victoria Kennedy has teased more "big celebrity exclusive interviews", adding: "It’s great to have Lorraine back. Autumn is always one of the most exciting times of the year for us.
"The summer holidays are over, the kids have gone back to school and it’s a chance for our viewers to snuggle up indoors with a cuppa with Lorraine, to enjoy a bit of much-needed ‘me time’.
"We’ll be starting the new season with some big celebrity exclusive interviews, as well as bringing some September sunshine."
‘Lorraine’ airs weekdays from 8.30am.
