‘Coronation Street’s Nick Tilsley is to suffer a breakdown after discovering his estranged wife has a new lover.
The restaurant owner – played by Ben Price – is set to go off the rails after his former beau Leanne (Jane Danson) strikes up a relationship with his pal Kal Nazir (Jimi Mistry).
In scenes to air next month, Leanne admits to Kal she’s worried about telling her former husband the truth.
According to the Daily Star newspaper, she says: "I was sitting there, looking him in the eye and I couldn’t do it.
"He’s been doing really well and this could really set him back to square one."
Kal replies: "You and me – if we are going to do this, then sooner or later he’s going to get hurt."
Nick and Leanne have been living apart since he lashed out at her earlier this year as a result of the injuries from his nasty car crash, which left him with irrational mood swings.
The businessman had hoped he’d be able to patch things up with the blonde beauty, but it looks like the end of the road for their marriage after she falls for the fitness guru.
After weeks of sneaking around, the truth finally comes out and the heartbreak is enough to push Nick over the edge.
