Carrie Underwood ‘feels she looks different’ after fall

The 35-year-old country singer was left needing more than 40 stitches in her face after the accident in November, in which she broke her wrist and damaged her face, and radio host Bobby Bones – who conducted Carrie’s first chat since the incident – claims she was worried she wouldn’t look the same.
He said: "I think, in her mind, it was a pretty bad injury that took a while to come back from.
"I think she feels that she looks different because she wrote that in her letter to the fans especially early on.
"She said, ‘I may not look the same.’ "
However, Bobby insists ‘The Champion’ hitmaker looks "wonderful" and admitted he wouldn’t have noticed a difference in Carrie had she not mentioned the ordeal.
He added to PEOPLE: "She had reconstruction on her face but she looks wonderful. I don’t know that I would’ve even noticed it."
Carrie admitted one of her first reactions when she looked at herself after the fall was that her and husband Mike Fisher’s three-year-old son Isiah would be "scared" of her.
She said: "For a while, I was worried he would be scared of me. But now if I put makeup on, he’s like, ‘Mommy, your boo-boo’s all gone.’ "
Carrie suffered the injury while walking her dog, and admitted the damage "wasn’t pretty".
She previously recalled: "I was clumsy and I tripped. I held onto the dog leashes in my left hand and went to catch myself with my right and just missed the step. There’s one lone step. I said if I had fallen anywhere else, I would have been absolutely fine, but it’s just because there was, I went to catch myself and I missed.
"I thought I just busted my lip. Then I walked inside and took the dog leashes off and took my coat off and went to go survey the damage and was like, ‘Oh, no!’ It wasn’t pretty."
