Scarlett Moffatt talks anxiety battle

Scarlett Moffatt missed an Ed Sheeran concert because of her anxiety.
The 27-year-old star has suffered with anxiety and panic attacks since she was around 12, and it is something that still affects her to this day.
The former ‘Gogglebox’ star had been due to see Ed in concert in Newcastle earlier this month but her "fear" got the better of her and she was worried about being caught up in the crowd at sports stadium St. James’ Park.
She told The Sun newspaper: "The last time I felt really scared, and I’m being really honest here, was when I was meant to see Ed Sheeran on Friday.
"I got really anxious about it because it was at St James’s Park and I didn’t end up going. I let fear get the best of us. I should have gone."
Meanwhile, Scarlett has also described Ant McPartlin as an "amazing soul" and admitted she and the rest of the ‘Saturday Night Takeaway’ team – including his presenting partner Declan Donnelly – really missed his presence from the season finale in the US, which he missed to receive treatment for his issues following a drink driving arrest.
She said: "We just all missed him. But we wanted to give the viewers a show.
"Ant was always in the back of our minds because we all love him, as the viewers do. He’s just such an amazing soul, an amazing person."
Scarlett has been delighted to work with the Geordie duo and she admitted that even the day to day reality of life working with her heroes has felt unbelievable at time.
She explained: "That’s what every Northern person wants. It is mad, they’re just so lovely. I’ve got the best mentors in TV ever.
"Obviously this job has negatives, every job does, it’s just that the positives outweigh the negatives.
"So every day on that show, I would go in to rehearse or script meetings and I’d be thinking, ‘I cannot believe that this is my job.’ "
