Courtney Act to get own talk show?

Courtney Act is in talks to bag her own talk show on Channel 4.
The ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ winner is set to secure her own television series after she impressed bosses with her loveable personality on the reality TV show in January.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Channel 4 spotted Courtney’s talent while she was on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ and they love her personality."
The show is called ‘Up Late and Courtney Act’ and will be a "mixture of cabaret, comedy and guest stars", but it’s still in the planning stages at the moment.
The insider explained: "The chat show will be a late night variety programme with a mixture of cabaret, comedy and guest stars. At the moment it’s in development but Courtney’s quietly hopeful it will see the light of day."
Filming for the series will kick off as soon as bosses have ironed out the finer details.
The 36-year-old drag queen – played by Shane Jenek – won over the hearts of the nation earlier this year when she developed a bromance with Andrew Brady.
However, the entertainer never expected to win the programme as she believed a woman should have been crowned champion of the Year of the Woman series.
She said recently: "I never thought that I was going to win. Not that I thought I should win, because I thought a woman should win Year of the Woman."
But she’s glad she won over Ann Widdecombe – who was runner up – because she doesn’t think the 70-year-old politician is a good representation of women in 2018.
She explained: "Given what I think women are about in 2018, I don’t reckon Ann represents that. Not that I am a woman, but I am a feminist. Brexit happened. Donald Trump is president. If Ann Widdecombe won ‘CBB’ Year of the Woman, it would be the third sign of the Apocalypse. We’d be sitting here waiting for the fourth, thinking maybe Ann’s God does exist and is coming for the judgement day."
