Eddie Redmayne to read on CBeebies Bedtime Stories

Eddie Redmayne has joined the star-studded line-up reading CBeebies Bedtime Stories this festive season.
The ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ star has the honour of reciting the children’s tome ‘If I Had a Dinosaur’ – which is penned by Gabby Dawnay and illustrated by Alex Barrow – on the UK TV children’s channel on Christmas Day (25.12.17).
Eddie – who has 18-month-old daughter Iris with his wife Hannah – commented: "I had the most wonderful time reading the CBeebies Bedtime Stories. Books before bed were always such an essential part of my growing up and it’s so lovely to be able to continue the tradition. I hope you enjoy the stories and Happy Christmas."
‘War Horse’ star Emily Watson will be reading ‘Lost For Words’ from the special Story Seat on Boxing Day (26.12.17) by Natalie Russell.
She said: "It was such a joy to be part of the CBeebies Bedtime Stories to bring these three wonderful, imaginative books to life.
"I hope you enjoy the tales as much as I enjoyed reading them. Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and of course, a good night…"
‘Line of Duty’ actor Mark Bonnar and ‘Doctor Who’ star Pearl Mackie, where previously announced for December 23 and 24 respectively.
Completing the line-up is country music legend Dolly Parton who will give the first Bedtime Story of 2018 on New Year’s Day (01.01.18).
The ‘Jolene’ hitmaker will share the tale of ‘Dog Loves Books’ by Louise Yates with the young viewers.
Other celebrities who have completed the special broadcast include the likes of Tom Hardy, ‘Avengers’ star Chris Evans, Isla Fisher, Jessica Ennis-Hill, Emilia Fox, Damian Lewis, David Tennant, Rosamund Pike, Tim Peake, Nadiya Hussain, Warwick Davis, Derek Jacobi, Maxine Peake, James McAvoy and David Hasselhoff.
