Zac Efron’s bear encounter

Zac Efron was once charged at by a bear.
The 29-year-old actor and his brother Dylan recently partnered up with Columbia Sportswear to test some of the brand’s new gear, and the Hollywood hunk has revealed that whilst on a trip to Montana for the partnership, they got more adventure than they bargained for when they came face to face with a grizzly bear.
He said: "Out of nowhere, [we were like] ‘Okay, that’s a bear. Everybody stop. And we all stood still. Somebody silently whispered ‘But it’s charging at us.’ It took like two big canters at us.
"[Luckily it] disappeared behind some trees. It was the scariest part of the trip! But it was cool to see a bear that close. It was maybe 15 or 20 feet away. It was charging at us!"
The ‘Baywatch’ star is thrilled about having the opportunity to explore new places on behalf of the sportswear brand though, as he is using it as "an excuse" to "see the rest of the world".
Speaking to People magazine, he said: "I’m about to turn 30, so I’m thinking about how much of the world is left to see, how much there is to do and how much is out there. Luckily this is kind of an excuse for me to get outside even more and follow my dreams and see the rest of the world."
It isn’t just outdoor adventures that Zac likes to enjoy with his 25-year-old brother Dylan either, as the ‘That Awkward Moment’ actor also likes to consult his sibling when it comes to dating.
He said previously: "If I’m dating someone, one of the few people I need to weigh in on the situation is my brother. We live together, and we’re different in a lot of ways, but he’s really grounded. He lived a more normal life than I did growing up, so he’s a great barometer for me. He’ll be like, ‘Are you sure you’re happy? Is this what you really want?’ Having my little brother around is a really great thing."
