Larry Lamb would do another soap

Larry Lamb would "never say never" to signing up with another soap.
The 69-year-old actor portrayed bad boy Archie Mitchell in the BBC’s ‘EastEnders’ from 2008 until his character’s shocking death a year later and, although he’d never reprise his role in the long-running show, he’d be open to joining a rival programme.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, he said: "’EastEnders’ is this thing that rolls on. People go in and out of it. I don’t think he could come back as a ghost. I wouldn’t look good in the white veil. It wouldn’t work, so that’s it. Archie Mitchell has had his day."
However, when asked if he’d join a rival like ITV’s ‘Coronation Street’ or ‘Emmerdale’, the silver fox added: "Never say never!"
Although he’s not thinking about joining a soap opera anytime soon, Larry certainly isn’t short of work as he became a fan favourite when he competed in the ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ jungle in the Australian outback at the end of last year.
And Larry thinks the experience, which he competed alongside the likes of Carol Vorderman, Joel Dommett and Scarlett Moffatt, brought him closer to his family.
Asked if his time on the show was how he expected it to be, he said: "Absolutely. To spend three weeks cooking on a fire and having to make sure everything’s ready and in order. And to live an ordered life in what are potentially chaotic circumstances, it’s done me the world of good. More than anything, it’s made me appreciate my family.
"To listen to the chat between everybody there about how they relate to their families. Wayne is a wonderful dad. And Jordan has been parented by amazing people. Those different familial situations I have become aware of with them has just made me understand how lucky I’ve been but just how much more I’ve got to do."
