John Barrowman wants Disney role

John Barrowman would "love" to do a Disney live-action movie.
The 50-year-old actor has admitted he’s a fan of the recent trend of remaking classic animated Disney films in a live-action format – such as the recently released ‘Beauty and the Beast’ remake – and has said he’s itching to be a part of phenomenon, although he’s unsure which movie he would appear in.
He said: "I’d love to do a Disney live-action movie. I really would. It’s just a question of what ones they’re going to do now because of the massive success they’ve had with ‘Beauty and the Beast’, which I thought was awesome. I sat like a kid in a candy store watching it."
The former ‘Doctor Who’ star admitted it has "always been a dream" of his to star in a Disney film, and with live-action remakes of ‘The Lion King’, ‘Mulan’, and ‘Aladdin’ in the pipeline there’s plenty of opportunities for him to have a role.
Speaking at the Fan Expo Dallas convention over the weekend, the ‘Arrow’ actor added: "I don’t know [which character I would want to play]. I don’t have an answer to that, but it’s always been a dream of mine to be in a Disney film. And whether it’s a voice, or if it was Disney live action, so because of that movie, I think there’s going to be plenty of Disney live action movies coming out, maybe with animated animals, all that sort of stuff. I don’t know. But fingers crossed."
Meanwhile, it was previously reported that ‘The Lion King’ director Jon Favreau is keen to secure megastar Beyoncé as Nala, and is even happy to fit the voiceover part around her schedule and the impending arrival of her twins.
Whilst sources confirmed that nothing has been finalised yet, Favreau and the team are said to be willing to do anything to secure Beyoncé for the part.
