Gordon Ramsay’s debut on The Nightly Show hit by glitch

Gordon Ramsay’s ‘The Nightly Show’ debut was rocked by a technical glitch.
The 50-year-old celebrity chef was riddled with nerves ahead of his hosting role on the late-night entertainment and chat show, which is fronted by different people every week, and it seems he had every reason to be anxious as his set was cut off for three minutes on Monday (27.03.17) after ITV experienced a lengthy technical fault mid-way through.
During the first ad break, viewers’ screens went blank and a message, which read: "We’re sorry for the interruption" appeared before the channel went off air for a while.
A voice over then appeared stating that the channel was "working to fix the issue" and that they hoped "normal programming would resume soon."
The channel managed to rectify the situation swiftly and viewers soon forgot the technical blunder, choosing instead to poke fun at Gordon’s new hair do.
However, the glitch is just one in a long line of criticism the new chat show, which has pulled in an estimated 1.7 million viewers per night, has been slapped with recently.
The negative remarks actually sparked Gordon’s wife Tana to tell him pull out of the gig.
He explained: "First thing Tana said to me was, ‘Are you going to pull out?’"
However, the foul-mouthed culinary genius has decided not to take his partner’s advice.
He said: "Am I f**k going to pull out. I wouldn’t do that. If I commit to something, I do it."
‘The Nightly Show’ is set to finish this month and in the upcoming weeks actor Bradley Walsh, followed by 35-year-old comedian Jason Manford, will take over the show.
