Miley Cyrus decided one of the ways she could move away from her Hannah Montana character was to ditch her long brunette hair.
In 2012 she began crafting her new pop persona and dyed her hair platinum blonde and had it cut into a pixie crop.
Celebrity hairdresser Chris McMillan was responsible for the hair overhaul and discussing her new look, Miley said: "I’m 19 years old and gorgeous and on the cusp of even more stardom."
