Happy Days to return?

‘Happy Days’ star Ted McGinley thinks Netlflix should "100 per cent" make a reboot of the iconic sitcom.
The 58-year-old actor played basketball coach Roger Phillips in the 1970s comedy series and is desperate to see it revived by the streaming service, which has brought back hit shows ‘Arrested Development’ and ‘The Gilmore Girls’ in recent years.
Speaking about the family show – which ran from 1974 to 1984 – he said: "’Happy Days’ should come back – one hundred percent. It would be fun to see all those stories.
"It would be fun to see what Fonzie is today, right?"
‘Happy Days’ was set in the 1950s and revolved around leather-clad heartthrob Fonzie – played by Hollywood legend Henry Winkler – and also starred Ron Howard as his pal Richie Cunningham.
Though it’s unlikely Ron would return to his role, having coined a successful career as a director with movies ‘Willow’, ‘Apollo 13’ and ‘Rush’, Ted is adamant Henry would jump at the chance to don the Fonz’s biker gear once more.
He said to the New York Daily News: "I would give anything just to watch that. Henry is a force and he’s one of the most loved characters in America. Just as a human being, people love Henry Winkler — he’s a very generous guy and he’s fun to watch. The Fonz is a part of who he is, and if you asked him to do it, in two seconds he can get it back."
Ted has even been brainstorming plot lines for the potential reboot.
The actor – who starred in ‘Dynasty’ when ‘Happy Days’ ended – said: "I have a theory that Fonzie’s kids would probably have ended up being very well educated and the ones who were really on top of the heap. Things flip after a while, right?"
