Jessie Wallace and Shane Richie to star on Lip Sync Battle UK Christmas special

‘EastEnders’ veterans Jessie Wallace and Shane Richie are to go toe-to-toe in the ‘Lip Sync Battle UK’ Christmas special.
The acting duo – who are best known as Kat and Alfie Moon on the BBC soap opera – are set to put their talents to the test on Channel 5 on December 20, when they will follow in the footsteps of the likes of David Walliams, Alesha Dixon, Carol Vorderman and Michelle Keegan.
Shane, 52 – who has enjoyed two seperate spells on ‘EastEnders’ – has enjoyed significant success in musicals during his career and he also had a number two hit in the UK in 2003, when he launched a cover version of Wham!’s ‘I’m Your Man’ for ‘Children in Need’.
The Christmas special is a teaser for series two of the show, which is promised to be bigger and louder than the first season of the programme.
Recently, Professor Green confirmed he will return for a second series of ‘Lip Sync Battle UK’.
The ‘Read All About It’ hitmaker – whose real name is Stephen Marsden – will be joined by Melanie Brown, better known as Mel B, for season two of the show, and Pro admitted he is looking forward to returning to the programme.
He said: "[I’m] Very excited to be working with Mel again, and I’ve promised her I’ll have been to bed before we do our press day this time. It isn’t work with Mel, nor is it with the team behind the scenes – it’s a genuine giggle with a good bunch – I’m excited about what season two of ‘Lip Sync Battle UK’ has to offer!"
