Lil Wayne cancels SummerFall show

Lil Wayne cancelled his set at SummerFall in Curacao.
The 34-year-old rapper failed to attend his headline slot at the concert on the Caribbean island on Saturday night (26.11.16), where he was supposed to have joined acts such as Rick Ross, Meek Mill, and French Montana.
According to TMZ.com, festival organisers claim the ‘Sucker For Pain’ rapper suffered from a seizure in Miami on Friday night (25.11.16), as the star has previously dealt with a number of seizures this year including two in the same day whilst on an aeroplane.
However, a representative for the ‘Forever’ musician has denied these claims, instead telling the publication that Lil Wayne – real name Dwayne Michael Carter Jr – wouldn’t be showing up to the event due to a "breach of contract".
No other information was given by the representative, and no reason for his cancellation has been confirmed by either party.
The news comes after the rapper took to Twitter earlier this year to hint at his retirement. The star – real name Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. – admitted to feeling "defeated" and said he was "done".
He wrote: "I am now defenseless and mentally defeated & I leave gracefully and thankful I luh my fanz but I’m dun
"ain’t lookin for sympathy, just serenity … I’m good y’all don’t trip (sic)."
Meanwhile, the rapper recently released his memoir ‘Gone ‘Til November: A Journal of Rikers Island’, in which he documents his eight-month stint in the New York prison complex which he served for possession of a firearm in 2010.
In the book, the ‘Mirror’ hitmaker details the brief time he spent within the jail working as a suicide prevention aide.
He wrote: "The job is basically to monitor the top tier [of the jail] for an eight-hour shift and if someone wants to hang up (meaning to kill themselves), to not negotiate with them or try to talk to them out of it, but just to alert and officer.
"You get paid $50 if you stop the person from actually hanging themselves and $25 if you find them hung up. Yeah, it’s that real."
