Morrissey cancels Denver show after keyboardist collapses

Morrissey was forced to cancel his concert in Denver on Monday night (14.11.16) after his keyboardist collapsed.
The former Smiths star was scheduled to perform a show at the Boulder Theatre in the capital of Colorado, however, he walked out on stage 15 minutes before the gig was due to start to announce that Gustavo Manzur had become ill and they didn’t know what was wrong with him.
In a video posted on social media by a fan, he told the sold-out crowd: "Our good friend Gustavo has collapsed and is in your local hospital.
"We don’t know what’s happened to him. This is a family, we stay together. We can’t move until we know what’s happened to him, if there’s any magical cure!"
Fans waited for more news from the band for 20 minutes before the 57-year-old rocker’s guitarist Jesse Tobias came out and called off the event.
A statement was later released by the concert’s promoters stating that gig-goers can claim a full refund and that Morrissey hopes to reschedule the show soon.
It read: "Refunds available at point of purchase.
"It is with great regret that tonight’s sold out engagement with Morrissey has been cancelled due to the severe illness of a member of the band.
"We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused and hope to announce a rescheduled date soon."
Morrissey is yet to give an update on his band mate’s condition.
