Chelsea Handler cried at US election result

Chelsea Handler was left in tears after finding out Donald Trump would become the 45th President of the United States.
The 41-year-old star broke down as she filmed her Netflix show on Wednesday evening (09.11.16) and discussed the result of the election – which saw Trump take the White House over Democratic party candidate Hillary Clinton – with Senator Barbara Boxer.
She told the audience: "Oh God, I really hate f***ing crying."
And later, she admitted she really wanted to move to "f****ing Spain" as she tried to regain her composure and continue filming, The Sun newspaper reports.
Earlier in the day, Chelsea’s warm up act had warned the audience, who had gathered to see the show being filmed, that the mood would be slightly different than usual.
And Chelsea found herself getting teary-eyed again when her guest urged Democrat supporters to continue the work Clinton had done on the campaign trial.
Meanwhile, Chelsea has also been vocal of her dismay at Trump’s win on her social media accounts.
Taking to Twitter, she wrote: "My condolences to the President and First Lady. We will keep aiming high. We may not have you honored you this time, but we will honor you …
"I didn’t think I would be able to do my show today, but then I saw [Hillary Clinton] give her concession speech, and I thought, let’s really honor her. (sic)"
On Instagram, she showed her support for Clinton by posting a picture of a part of a speech made by the 69-year-old politician.
It read: "Please never stop believing that fighting for what is right is worth it. It is, it is worth it. And so we need – we need you to keep up these fights now and for the rest of your lives."
