I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here camp at risk from wild dogs

The ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here’ camp is at risk from wild dogs.
Carol Vorderman, Ola Jordan and Gogglebox’s Scarlett Moffatt are set to make their descent into the Australian jungle on Sunday November 13 but fears have been raised after locals in Springbrook, Queensland – near where the ITV show is being filmed – have reported injuries to their pets and other livestock from wild dogs and now there are worries they could turn on humans, the Daily Mirror reports.
Springbrook Landcare president Ian Powell told goldcoastbulletin.com: "They are starting to lose their natural fear for humans, it is getting to a point where they will see the children as something they can chase and attack.
"They have killed dogs and even a few alpacas recently and I know some of the owners have raised concerns that most of the animals are coming out of the national park where the State Government does not bait."
Whilst resident Ray Cavanough added: "The reason we need to go hard with baiting and traps is because we are hearing that they are attacking a lot of pets and the other day they killed a calf while the cow was giving birth.
"We have had a domestic dog attacked while a three-year-old child was behind a fly screen door. It was just lucky he was behind the door, otherwise it could have been a disaster."
And wild dogs are not the only reason this series of ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here’ has been thrown into doubt after it was revealed a bush fire is only 40 miles away from the clearing the celebrities are set to make their home for three weeks.
However, the New South Wales National Parks and Wildlife Service say they are managing the fire – which is said to be 200 miles wide – and have it under control.
