Kerry Washington gets parenting advice from therapist

Kerry Washington has received parenting advice from her therapist.
The 39-year-old actress is currently expecting her second child with husband Nnamdi Asomugha and the couple and their two-year-old daughter Isabelle can’t wait to meet the tot.
Kerry often talks about parenthood with Shonda Rhimes – the creator of political TV thriller ‘Scandal’ in which she plays Olivia Pope – and her therapist and support for mothers is a regular topic of conversation.
In an interview with the new issue of InStyle magazine, she shared: "I’ve really leaned heavily on my boss’ experience. I consider myself busy, but Shonda has about four of five shows, three kids … She says, ‘If you feel like you have just the right amount of help, then you don’t have enough.’ My therapist said this too. You need a lot of support. No just logistically but emotionally and spiritually."
At the moment Kerry is fully focused on having her baby at the moment but has been thinking about her career and her next move once her child has arrived.
And the ‘Django Unchained’ star is going to keep accepting work based on her own rules and not to please anybody else.
She said: "You arrive at a certain place of achieving and suddenly you feel like your goals are being dictated by other people…Right now, as I get ready for this second baby, it’s really about me being in touch with what I want. I didn’t get here because I was trying to be what somebody else wanted me to be… I am not interested in playing by other people’s rules. So for now, I’m leaving myself open to the adventure."
