Stephen Mulhern says people think he’s Ant PcPartlin

Stephen Mulhern gets mistaken for Ant McPartlin.

The ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ host has admitted some fans get him confused with the show’s co-presenter, and joked he is "riding it out" to reap the benefits of the mix-up.

He told The Sun newspaper’s TV Magazine: "I always get asked: ‘Are you Ant?’ I’m riding it out.

"In a hotel the other day, I had forgotten my phone charger. A woman on reception got excited thinking I was Ant and lent me hers. I told Ant – now he thinks I go around pretending to be him."

However, Stephen has joked while Ant and his professional partner Dec Donnelly are two of his only celebrity friends, he wouldn’t trust them to give good advice.

He revealed: "Ant and Dec, Emma Willis and Holly Willoughby are proper mates. But that’s about it.

"If I had a problem I’d go to Holly, and if I want advice that makes no sense and probably makes things worse, I’ll ask Ant and Dec."

He did put his faith in the TV duo to "make it over in the US", and admitted he’d love to visit them if they succeeded.

He said: "I think Ant and Dec will make it over in the US, they work so hard.

"I’ll pack their bags if they want. Los Angeles is a lovely place for a holiday. They can put me up in their mansion."
