Corinne Bailey Rae forecasts Prince tribute at BST

Corinne Bailey Rae thinks Stevie Wonder is bound to pay tribute to Prince at Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park.
The ‘Put Your Records On’ hitmaker will support the ‘Superstition’ hitmaker when he performs his entire album ‘Songs In The Key of Life’ at London’s Hyde Park on June 10, and she believes he’ll want to "carry on Prince’s legacy" by covering one of the late music legend’s songs to thousands of fans.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, she said: "I think he will probably do something because it is such a big amount of people and I imagine he wants to carry on Prince’s legacy."
Corinne, 37, would love it if the Motown legend brought her up on stage to remember Prince.
She said: "It would be incredible if Stevie brought me out to do something on the day."
Last week Stevie blew the roof off the Microsoft Center in Los Angeles, when he was joined on stage by Janelle Monáe, The Roots, Erykah Badu and Sheila E and Jennifer Hudson for a spectacular tribute for Prince, who tragically passed away in April at the age of 57, at his Paisley Park estate in Minnesota.
Corinne was invited to take part but was gutted she couldn’t participate due to her own gig commitments.
She said: "I didn’t see it. But I bet it was incredible.
I got invited to do that and I had a show and I couldn’t make it. I would have liked to have been a part of that."
A Prince tribute would be more than fitting at BST as the 1976 LP has been cited as a major influence on Prince and many other artists including Pharrell Williams, who is also performing on the same day.
