Demi Lovato wants to perform new songs on tour

Demi Lovato hopes to perform new songs on her ‘Future Now Tour’ with Nick Jonas.
The ‘Stone Cold’ hitmaker has been busy tucked away in a recording studio for most of Spring and plans on readying some tracks so she can play them at the shows, which kick off on June 24 at the BB&T Center in Florida.
She said: "By the time I go on tour, I want to be able to perform new songs. Ideally, I would release a single next month."
The 23-year-old pop beauty also talked about how "bummed" she was because the two lead tracks, ‘Confident’ and ‘Cool for the Summer’, from her latest LP ‘Confident’, weren’t as well-received as she had hoped for.
However, she’s come to find that she has a much better understanding of her music now.
She told Refinery29: "I was really bummed about it because that’s what I was going for. I got to the point where I was like, ‘Oh my god, It does not f***ing matter.’ At the end of the day, I’m going to be on tour and I want to be performing songs on stage that I can sing my ass off to and really feel when I’m on stage. So now I have a much better sense of my music."
Demi accepts that she still has a lot to prove, but feels she is "underestimated" as an artist.
And she also wants to show herself that she has can stay off the booze.
She said: "I’m still underestimated. I still have more things to prove – not just about the things I can do with my voice.
"Some people think that because I’m young, I can’t stay sober. But these are things I want to prove to myself."
