Cheryl Cole returns to X Factor


Simon Cowell has confirmed Cheryl Cole is returning to ‘The X Factor’.

The music mogul took to his Twitter account tonight (10.03.14) to

announce that the 30-year-old singer – who was on the show from 2008 to 2011 – has reclaimed her seat on the judging panel.

He tweeted: "It’s official. Cheryl is back.

"Be careful what you wish for! (sic)".

He added: "Most importantly she is a brilliant judge of talent. (sic)".

The former Girls Aloud star also celebrated the news with her fans by posting a picture of her grabbing Simon by the neck, which she

accompanied with the caption, "GUESS WHAT!! .. I’m Baaaacccckkkkk!!!! (sic)".

It is believe the brunette beauty, who left the UK programme two years ago to try her hand at judging the US edition, signed a £1.5 million deal to return to the panel for one series.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "The deal was done over the weekend. Simon is absolutely delighted to have her back on the judging panel."

Meanwhile, the other two judges joining Simon and Cheryl for this

year’s show are yet to be confirmed after current judges Louis Walsh,

Sharon Osbourne, Gary Barlow and Nicole Scherzinger announced their departure last year.
