The Weeknd creating ‘magic’ in the studio

The Weeknd is working on "magic" new music with the team behind his debut LP ‘House of Balloons’.
The ‘Hills’ hitmaker – whose real name is Abel Tesfaye – has explained the reason he pulled his support slot on Rihanna’s ‘Anti’ world tour is because something special is happening in the studio and he wants to capture it while he can.
Abel, 26, explained: "Creatively, some magic is happening right now, and I don’t want to lose it."
As for whether the songs he’s working on with the team behind his debut will be on the next album, Abel said he’s not sure but that there will definitely be some "new" music on the way in some form.
He told Vogue magazine: "It could be an album or it could be something else, but whatever it is, music is being made. It’s a new thing. Always a new thing."
Meanwhile, the hip hop star reflected on the time spent with the ‘House of Balloons’ gang and said it was special time because their music was unlike anything else.
He felt that was because the R&B genre was lacking in something at the time.
He said: "Nothing sounded like what we were doing, because R&B was hard to listen to back then."
Elsewhere, in the interview the Canadian star shared his admiration of Daft Punk and revealed his "biggest dream" is to collaborate with them.
He said: "One of my biggest dreams is to work with them."
As for Rihanna’s ‘Anti’ world tour dates in Europe it’s not sure whether Travi$ Scott or Big Sean will step in or if there will be an entirely new replacement act.
