Justin Bieber is the most powerful person in pop

The 22-year-old singer was given the biggest influencer title by The Box Plus Network, with former winner Adele pipped to the post to be ranked number two, and boy band One Direction in third spot.
Taking the fourth slot was Rihanna – who was previously top in 2013, while her ‘Princess of China’ collaborators Coldplay came in fifth.
Last year’s most powerful, Taylor Swift, dropped to sixth place, while The Weeknd, Zayn Malik, Little Mix and Ed Sheeran rounded out the top 10.
The list – that will go to air tonight (24.03.16) from 6pm on 4Music – takes into account every aspect of a pop star’s life, including recording revenues, social media reach, personal wealth, chart placings, awards and press coverage from the last year.
Justin is no stranger to topping charts or breaking records.
In November 2015, the ‘What Do You Mean?’ hitmaker broke the record for having the most songs in the Hot 100 chart at the same time.
Justin had an astonishing 17 tracks in the rundown simultaneously when he beat the impressive statistic held by Drake, who himself had topped The Beatles’ long-standing record, which had stood from 1964 when they had 14 big selling hits in the top 100.
Amongst his accomplishment this year, Justin has been awarded International Male Solo Artist at the BRIT Awards, Best Dance Recording at the Grammys and Favourite Song at the People’s Choice Awards.
