Kylie Minogue thinks it’s "derogatory" when people call her boyfriend a "toyboy".
The ‘Spinning Around’ hitmaker hates it when people use the term to describe her boyfriend Joshua Sasse, who is two decades her junior, as she thinks it is unnecessary.
She said: "I think its derogatory to both of us. I would love to nuke that word. It bounces off us because it’s not like that with us. But God, I’d love to see the back of it.
"If you stop and think of how many successful relationships are that way … It’s pot luck who you meet and you fall in love with, and they love you, and you feel like you’re life is better because you’re together … I’m very happy."
The 47-year-old star was originally planning to take some time off to go travelling on her own but now hopes she will have a companion joining her.
She added to the Daily Mirror newspaper: "It wasn’t that long ago that I was considering going travelling on my own. Thankfully, I don’t have to do that.
"In this business you have to be so malleable. You can have the best intention to say that’s it, I’m not working for a year. But I’m so curious – I want to try all these different things. I shoot myself in the foot. Now I have the best reason to take some time out."
