Avengers: Age of Ultron won’t feature post-credits scene

‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ will not feature a post-credits scene.

Joss Whedon, the director of the eagerly-awaited new movie, confirmed the tradition, which stretches back to 2008’s ‘Iron Man’, will be broken when ‘Age of Ultron’ reaches cinemas because he doesn’t feel he can beat the post-battle scene from the first film in 2012.

Joss told Entertainment Weekly: "We all came at it separately – we don’t want to chase that.

"That was a jewel and a weird little quirk."

Kevin Feige – the president of Marvel Studios – said that although ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ will not include a post-credits scene, there will be a mid-credits equivalent.

He explained: "There will be a tag. But there’s not a post-post-credit scene."

Meanwhile, Marvel has confirmed that Joe and Anthony Russo are to direct the next two ‘Avengers’ movies.

The brothers first worked with the studio on 2014’s ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ and are set to helm ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ parts one and two.

‘The Avengers: Age of Ultron’ is set for release later this month, while ‘Avengers: Infinity War Part 1’ is expected to open on May 4, 2018, with the second scheduled for May 3, 2019.
