Trio return for Avengers: Age of Ultron

Anthony Mackie, Hayley Atwell and Idris Elba will all reprise their Marvel Universe characters in ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’.

A new poster previewing the much-anticipated movie has revealed that all three stars will return to the franchise, where they will star alongside the likes of Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America and Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow.

Atwell had been widely rumoured to make a cameo appearance as Peggy Carter in the film, which is set for release later this year.

What’s more, the poster confirmed that Asgardian warrior Heimdall (Elba) and the Falcon (Mackie) will also both appear.

The emergence of the poster comes shortly after ‘Avengers: Age Of Ultron’ director Joss Whedon revealed he is using ‘Godfather Part II’ as his inspiration for the film.

He said that the 1974 epic crime movie is a "huge touchstone for me because you get everything you got from the first Godfather movie in a very different movie, in a movie that structurally couldn’t be more different, and thematically and in intent and in mood, and yet nobody ever goes, ‘It wasn’t Godfathery enough’".
